Phosphate Esters

PEX

PEX™ is a range of anionic phosphate ester surfactants used in agrochemicals, oilfield, homecare, industrial and institutional products. In agrochemicals, PEX™ phosphate esters provide wetting, emulsifying and dispersing properties that are useful in concentrates, herbicides, and pesticide formulation. In oilfield applications, PEX™ phosphate esters are primarily used for their corrosion inhibition and load-carrying properties. Homecare, industrial and institutional products use PEX™ phosphate esters in cleaners, detergents, and rinsing aids because they offer detergency, wetting, anti-static and emulsifying properties. These phosphate esters offer low static and dynamic surface tensions.

PEX™ 080B is a mixture of hydrophobic mono- and di-phosphate esters. It imparts benefits like anti-corrosion properties and surface tension reduction. PEX™ 080B is insoluble in water.

Mixture of mono- and di-phosphate esters of 2-ethylhexanol.

Benefits
  • Provides excellent corrosion protection
  • Strongly decreases dynamic and static surface tension
  • Low foaming tendency
  • Biodegradable

Applications
  • Anticorrosion systems
  • Metalworking fluids
  • Industrial cleaners
  • Textiles (emulsifier)

PEX™ 106 is a hydrophilic mixture of mono- and di-phosphate esters. It imparts benefits like anti-corrosion properties, lubrication in water and emulsification power. Water-based polymer binders made with PEX™ 106 as a surfactant exhibit enhanced corrosion resistance. It provides low surface tension properties of up to 28 dynes. PEX™ 106 is water-soluble.

Mixture of mono- and di-phosphate esters of an oxo-alcohol ethoxylate.

Benefits
  • Strongly decreases dynamic and static surface tension
  • Excellent detergent booster
  • Medium foaming tendency
  • Corrosion protection properties
  • Lubrication in water
  • Biodegradable

Applications
  • Emulsion polymerisation
  • Industrial cleaners
  • Textiles (emulsifier)
  • Anticorrosion systems

PEX™ 136 is a mixture of hydrophilic mono- and di-phosphate esters of an oxo-alcohol ethoxylate. It provides anti-corrosion properties, lubrication in water and emulsification power. It has a medium-high foaming tendency and exhibits low surface tension properties up to 29 dynes. PEX™ 136 has a higher di-ester content compared to PEX™ 136m.

PEX™ W100KP is a mixture of neutralised mono- and di-phosphate esters of an oxo-alcohol ethoxylate with potassium hydrogen phosphate in water. Imparts physical properties like anti-corrosion properties and surface tension reduction. Shows chemical stability in alkaline and acidic solutions. Possesses very good hydrotropic properties and very good wetting and dispersing ability, due to which it is used as a very good detergent booster. Improves gloss and promotes colour acceptance in latex paint formulations. Exhibits low surface tension properties to 30 dynes. Suitable for coatings.
